Best of 2022
2022 was a great year for my family. We traveled to Great Wolf Lodge, Disney World, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. We enjoyed spending time as a family and making memories.
Great Wolf Lodge
In February we went to Great Wolf Lodge in North Carolina. We loved going on all the slides and the wave pool. My son and husband loved the basketball area in the pool. There was an arcade, restaurants, miniature golf and bowling. The rooms were very clean and beautiful. We had a great time.
Disney World
In April, we went to Disney World. We stayed at Bonnet Creek time share and we visited Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We drove from SC to FL; it took about 7 hours. I like staying at a timeshare versus staying on property because I enjoy having multiple bedrooms and a kitchen. We loved all the rides. Our favorite ride was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
This was our second time taking the kids to Disney. Once in 2018 and this year 2022. We are already planning a 2023 trip for April. This time we are going to Universal also.
Myrtle Beach
In May, a friend invited us to go to Myrtle Beach with him and his daughter. The hotel was beautiful. It had pools, lazy river, small water park, miniature golf and basketball court. We went to the beach and walked on the boardwalk. We had a lot of fun.
Hilton Head
In July our family went to Hilton Head. We stayed at a time share that had a pool, tennis court and BBQ area. It was within walking distance to the beach. We spent our days at the beach and at the pool. Right in town is a grocery store, numerous restaurants and a playground. This was our second year going here and we will definitely return.
Day Trips
We did a lot of day trips to the park, Riverbanks Zoo, bowling, arcade and children’s museum. We also did some day trips to Lake Murray.
Backyard Oasis
We had an inground pool and screened in patio which started in 2021 but we could not enjoy it until 2022. Our pool is a Lazy L with 2 waterfalls. The deep end is 8 feet. We put in pavers and screened in our patio. I love sitting out there on my lounge chair with a drink and a book.
